Thank you for being a Magical Movie Rewards Member. We are open for business and enjoy providing you with an escape to the movies at Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern by Marcus. As we are all aware, the challenges going on in our world today are all too real with the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Please know that the well-being and safety of our customers and associates has always been a top priority at Marcus Theatres. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the coronavirus poses little immediate risk of exposure to most people in the U.S. However, we continue to monitor this evolving situation closely, and we wanted to share the steps we are taking at our theatres to help keep our guests and associates healthy.
Our practices in responding to COVID-19 prevention follow the CDC and area health department guidelines.
- Our theatres are cleaned daily as part of our business practices. We have revisited procedures with staff to reemphasize the importance of cleaning in public areas and in auditoriums between shows. Over the past few weeks, we have increased those cleanings and added hand sanitizers for our guests and associates.
- Every night after our shows conclude an outside service provides additional cleaning to our properties.
- Our leaders are consistently communicating with partners such as Ecolab (a global provider of hygiene products and services), and Royal Corporation (a leader in movie theatre specific products) on the latest information and EPA product offerings to react to changes in guidance from federal and state authorities.
- We’ve provided prevention education to associates, and are advising them to stay home if they are not feeling well, or if circumstances might advise them to do so, and to seek medical attention if they have symptoms.
As we monitor the situation closely, we are prepared to take additional steps for the benefit of our guests, associates and the community as new information and best practices emerge. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you soon for an escape to the movies.
