Assistive Technology

Marcus Theatres strives to provide the ultimate moviegoing experience to all customers. Closed captioning, descriptive narration and assistive listening devices are available at most theatres to make the experience accessible to our deaf, hard of hearing, blind and visually impaired moviegoers.

Assistive Technology Devices are available for showtimes and films that are encoded with captions or descriptions, upon request from the theatre box office for no charge. For large parties, please call theatre in advance to secure appropriate number of devices.

Closed Captioning Device

Use in any seat in the auditorium. The easy to read digital display with privacy visor is adjustable for optimal viewing. The flexible mount easily fits into each seat's cup holder. Look for the "Closed Caption" symbol for movies equipped for use with this device.

Descriptive Narration

Available for use in any seat in the auditorium, the headset features adjustable volume control which describes the visual setting and action as it happens on the big screen. Full audio of film and sound effects are amplified as well. Look for the "Descriptive Narration" symbol for movies equipped for use with this device.

Assisted Listening Device

Available to be used in any seat in the auditorium, this device offers adjustable volume control, with amplified audio of film and sound effects. Look for the "Assisted Listening Device" symbol for movies equipped for use with this device.
