Marcus Theatres Continues Madison-Area Updates by Adding DreamLounger Recliner Seating to Point Cinema

Customers Can Begin Enjoying Popular Amenity This Weekend

Milwaukee, October 5, 2015… Starting this weekend, Marcus Theatres^®, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE:MCS), will begin unveiling DreamLounger℠ seating at the Point Cinema in Madison.  Upon completion, all 15 auditoriums will feature this oversized, recliner seating that provides the comforts of home and double the legroom. These leather recliners are the latest of several theatre amenities getting positive reviews from consumers.

This renovation at the Point Cinema follows the grand opening of the new Marcus Palace Cinema just five months ago in Sun Prairie. Following that opening, a survey was conducted targeting members of the Magical Movie Rewards^® loyalty program to learn how guests were responding to the new theatre and its amenities. Survey respondents indicated that viewing the movie from a DreamLounger recliner seat was the number one amenity that strongly influenced their decision to go to that particular theatre.

Rodriguez, president and chief executive officer of Marcus Theatres. “Within the past two years or so, new food and beverage amenities and an UltraScreen DLX^® featuring a massive screen, DreamLoungers and Dolby^® Atmos^® sound, were added to Point Cinema. Now with the addition of DreamLounger recliner seats throughout the theatre, guests will have yet another comfort that enhances their moviegoing experience.”

DreamLounger recliner seating will be available in select auditoriums at the Marcus Point Cinema starting early this month. All auditoriums will be updated by the end of November – in plenty of time for the December release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”  The addition of DreamLoungers, coupled with several other amenities at Point Cinema, will enable guests to enjoy a complete night out:

• DreamLounger recliner seating – These comfortable seats enable guests to go from a seated, upright position to a full recline at the touch of a button. Additionally, guests can select and reserve their seats in advance to provide a convenient, stress-free experience upon arrival.
• UltraScreen DLX^® auditorium – The UltraScreen DLX^® auditorium features DreamLounger recliners and a massive screen that’s 77-feet wide. With Dolby^® Atmos^® multidimensional sound, this premium, large-format screen provides a lifelike, virtual soundscape with speakers placed in the front, back, sides and even across the ceiling of the auditorium. 
• Zaffiro’s^® Express – Based on a renowned Milwaukee landmark pizzeria, the Zaffiro’s Express concept enables moviegoers to enjoy menu items that go beyond the usual concession stand fare. THINCREDIBLE^® handmade thin-crust pizza, sandwiches, appetizers, salads, desserts and other menu items are available for quick pick-up in the theatre lobby. Guests can place their order at the concession counter and enjoy their meal in the lobby or inside an auditorium.
• Take Five^® Lounge – The Take Five Lounge offers a complete selection of cocktails, beers and wines, plus appetizers and meal options in a casual, relaxing atmosphere. Guests can mingle and enjoy menu items before or after a movie, or they can bring beverages from the lounge into the auditorium to enjoy during the movie. The Take Five Lounge also provides a venue for group outings or watching sporting events on a large screen mounted on the wall.
