Everybody loves pizza. As such, Marcus Theatres® has declared the month of August as “Zaugust” in appreciation of the beloved food. To celebrate, the theatre chain teamed up with Nick Chipman, the mastermind behind the popular food blog, Dude Foods, to find out what people’s favorite pizza toppings reveal about their personalities. Marcus Theatres also launched new offerings at its Zaffiro’s® Pizzeria & Bars located at the Marcus North Shore (Mequon, WI), Parkwood (Waite Park, MN) and Ridge (New Berlin, WI) Cinemas.
“We thought it was time to give pizza the star role at a few of our theatres,” said Rolando Rodriguez, chairman, president and CEO of Marcus Theatres. “Guests of our three Zaffiro’s restaurants can now enjoy a 10-inch personal cheese pizza for just $3 every Wednesday and get daily lunch combos with pizza or wraps, soup, salad or fries and a fountain beverage for just $9. Let’s just say ‘Zaugust’ was our inspiration.”

In the spirit of “Zaugust,” pizza lovers can now assess what their choice of toppings says about their personality thanks to a new set of pizza personality profiles created by Dude Foods. Through his blog, Chipman creates outrageous combinations such as deep fried cheese curd crust pizza and pepperoni pizza stuffed biscuits, so who better to come up with these fun profiles than a true pizza connoisseur and foodie extraordinaire! And, since Marcus Theatres is in the business of movies, the pizza profiles even suggest a favorite film genre based on the pizza toppings of choice. Try them on for size.

Cheese: The Plain Jane
You don’t stray too far from the norm and that’s totally OK. You’re not a fan of surprises, you know what you like and you stick with it.
